Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking Geotechnical Field Technician's in the Greenville and Spartanburg areas of South Carolina. Candidates should have 1 - 2 years of specific experience working on residential footing inspections. Other responsibilities include construction monitoring and materials testing such as moisture and density testing of soils.
This position is full-time Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position will require occasional travel to Charlotte (home office location) to pick up or drop off equipment. GTA will reimburse you for miles and tolls, but you must own a reliable vehicle, have a valid U.S. driver's license and have a good driving record.
PLEASE NOTE: This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
